I've been drawn to comfortable and simple wardrobe choices recently. More often I prefer to throw on a simple dress and a pair of flats. This is probably because I've been leading a more casual life lately. We've been taking long walks and hikes, enjoying the weather. I've been spending more time outdoors - especially since lounging indoors recovering from my surgery. I'm also trying to enjoy being active as much as possible since I have to go back for a second surgery in September. The surgeons thought they were removing a simple fibroadenoma, but it was actually a benign version of a rare tumor. So, the good news is it was benign, but the bad news is they need to go back in and get a clean margin to make sure none of those cells remain. If they don't get a clean margin, it can grow back. It's not a huge deal - a simple outpatient procedure, but (as anyone who's had this kind of surgery knows) it's a big pain for a couple of days. So I may ask for some kind volunteers to guest-post in middle of September.
I had been looking for the perfect long-sleeved skater dress for ages. Initially I returned this dress to size up - it runs on the small side! But I'm so glad I didn't give up on it because it's incredibly comfortable, and I see myself wearing it through autumn, winter and spring. It's domestically made, and of course, it's navy - my favorite color to wear! I also have a big soft spot of stripes. :-)
