Little Black Floral Dress

Little Black Floral Dress
Here's another outfit four Valentine's Day. This dress isn't new, but it is new to the blog. There just hasn't been much occasion for Little Black Dressing recently. It sure is good to have one little a sophisticated number in your closet, though. Don't you think florals on a dark background are very romantic?

I got a haircut recently. I'm growing it out, but sometimes you have to take one step back to go two steps forward. It seems that adding some layers make wavy hair very happy. If you have the 'growing hair out' blahs, I highly recommend taking a chance on a new style, or maybe adding some layers.

I was very honored to be interviewed on Wac Ave Street Photography Blog today. The blog is an awesome look at street fashion of Greenville, SC. I'm not near Greenville, but (being a Carolina girl) was local and lucky enough to be included!

Finally, I couldn't resist sharing a playlist of favorite love songs. I don't find a great deal of style inspiration from the late 50s and 60s, but with music it's another matter. I could listen to the Four Seasons or the Marvelettes all day!

dress: modcloth
tights: ross
shoes: dillard's outlet
coat: thrifted

  1. Excellent playlist! And I agree that darker florals are very sultry, but still sweet. :) Perfect for Valentine's Day!
Your hair looks lovely. I'm also growing mine out...have been for about a year, now haha :)

  2. You look beautiful! And I love your new haircut. Do you have to straighten your bangs? I go for a trim in a few weeks and I need to do something different as it grows out, too. :)

    1. Thanks! Yes, I do straighten my bangs. They would be poodle bangs if I didn't! :-)
